My name is Erik Soriano professionally as a designer, but musically, I also go by Erik Sori, Erik Soriano & The Sound or simply Erik.
My original dream was to be in a band, have a group of friends that would make music with me, and travel the world, but I never pursued that dream out of fear of being judged.
It's never too late to start though.
So here I am songwriting.
I recently started this project, and I'm excited to pursue something music-adjacent, beyond my career as a designer.
A lot of the songs here are less mature, since I wrote them when I was younger in the 2000s.
As a designer, I'm very consistent with my subject matters; basically my most passionate projects involve some sort of music playback or theme - as I'm fascinated by sound and lyricism.
I guess that makes up for the fact that my voice is not suited for yelling; my voice is soft and pop-driven, so I cannot use it for the type of alternative music I envision.
